Television advertising is a major component of our Company's success and ability to reach potential customers and new business.
Your knowledge of traditional media planning and buying activities, along with your superior negotiation skills, will allow you to get the best rates for ad placements that will help get our message and goals out to our target audience and generate new customers for the business in up to 50 markets simultaneously.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify the most effective and cost-efficient ways to reach our target audience by keying in on our audience's TV-viewing habits and preferences.
Deliver proposals to marketing leadership on new opportunities to reach our target audience.
Communicate recommendations on how to adjust spend, frequency based on market performance.
Negotiate with vendors to get the best deal possible in terms of ad placements and cost.
Assist in managing a budget in order to maximize ad exposure and to reach frequency goals; including annual AOP planning, forecasting, and measuring impact and ROI for all dollars.
Reconcile invoices and work with other team members and stakeholders on any cost or budget reporting required.
Build and provide reliable and comprehensive reporting on all campaigns and various associated KPI's including spot clearance and rotation, GRPs by market, CPP, and others.
Develop and manage relationships with various media outlets to ensure the Company derives as much value as possible from all media investments.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Partner with legal and compliance teams to guarantee marketing initiatives are compliant with regulatory standards.
Physical demands for this position frequently include:
the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field Minimum 5 years hands-on experience placing media buys and in-depth knowledge of TV ratings, Cost per Points, Reach, Frequency, and target audience demographics Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong negotiation skills Must be self-motivated, proactive, and tech-savvy Understanding of marketing and brand development Vigorous and thorough in attention to detail Comfortable with continuously changing priorities Excels at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously within tight deadlines Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel Ability to manage multiple vendor relationships across numerous markets Preferred Qualifications and Skills Knowledge in or familiarity with ComScore and Freewheel/Strata, or other ratings and media buying software Experience in the financial or highly regulated industry What We OfferThe Senior Media Buyer is part of the Marketing team.
